The Alliance for a Healthier Minnesota is conducting a nationwide survey research project that probes the attitudes and experiences of business decision-makers regarding worksite wellness. This project is being conducted in partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and is made possible through a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
To supplement the national survey, six regions will participate in a series of polls and focus groups conducted at the same time, using the same questionnaire. This approach will offer each region a comparison alongside other participating regions, as well as the national sample. The regional participants include St. Louis County (Missouri), Miami-Dade County (Florida), Olmsted County (Minnesota), Wisconsin State Department of Health, Pima County (Arizona) and Healthy Hawaii.
On September 12, 2012, the Alliance will host an event in Washington, D.C. to present the poll results to a large coalition of policy-makers, business executives and health professionals, as well as members of the Congressional Wellness Caucus.
