The Alliance for a Healthier Minnesota is conducting a nationwide survey research project that probes the attitudes of business decision-makers about worksite wellness. This project is made possible through a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Public Opinion Strategies, a prominent pollster based in Alexandria, Virginia, along with the Society of Human Resource Management will interview 400+ business decision-makers nationwide in June. Their findings will be published in a webinar that will include analysis, the poll’s topline results and a full set of cross tabulations. It will also contain transcripts of six to eight regional focus groups.
Selected CPPW communities will participate in a series of polls and focus groups conducted to supplement the national survey, at the same time, using the same questionnaire. This approach will offer each region a comparison alongside other participating regions, as well as the national sample. The CPPW participants include:
- Miami-Dade County (Florida)
- Olmsted County (Minnesota)
- Wood County, (Wisconsin)
- Pima County (Arizona)
- Healthy Hawaii
Announcing the Results
In December 2012, a large coalition of policy-makers, business executives and health professionals will gather on Capitol Hill as members of the Congressional Wellness Caucus hear the results of The States of Worksite Wellness. The poll will be released through a coalition of national partners that will market the results to their own constituencies.
