Tired of hearing about all the foods you shouldn’t eat? Here are eight foods you should eat plenty of–they’re among the healthiest on Earth! (via Care2.com):

1. Spirulina. It has more antioxidants than any other food on earth and is loaded with protein and minerals, making it the most nutrient-dense food. Try blending it into a smoothie for a nutritious way to kick-start your day.

2. Kale. Many experts rank kale as the most nutritious food. It’s chock-full of minerals, vitamins, fiber and amino acids, as well as important antioxidants that reduce inflammation and can prevent cancer.

3. Hemp seeds. These easily digestible seeds combine protein, fiber, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

4. Chocolate. Cacao beans are so nutrient-dense that scientists haven’t even begun to identify all the benefits in the little bean yet. Avoid mike chocolate, though. The good stuff is found only in raw cacao beans or nibs (or really, really dark chocolate). The minerals, vitamins and antioxidants in cacao beans are great for your heart and skin, and release the same feel-good chemicals in the brain that are released when you fall in love.

5. Broccoli. Mom was right, you should eat your broccoli. Broccoli helps maintain a healthy digestive system and decreases your risk of cancer. It’s also extremely versatile and can be used in everything from soups and stews to stir fry.

6. Spinach. Fresh or frozen, spinach is loaded with antioxidants, protein and fiber. Eat it fresh or cooked for a sweet addition to any meal.

7. Chia. Chia seeds are packed with omega fats, protein and fiber, and are also extraordinarily rich in antioxidants.

8. Berries. Unlike other fruits, berries tend to be less sugary. They’re also full of essential vitamins, minerals and free-radical banishing antioxidants.
